Deep excavation along an existing structure may expose the existing foundation and the soil beneath it. Left untreated, even if temporary, the structure could suffer failure due to the soil collapse. Poor drainage conditions can worsen and accelerate the failure.

Even if a temporary measure, we approach undermining with surgical precision, using grouting techniques and other soil stabilisation methods. We inject grout or other structural fill into the voids to improve soil strength and load-bearing capacity, effectively negating the risks that come with undermining.
